I use my hair as a part of me and I place them in to a composition, a still life, which simulates a reality. A confined environment ideal and protected, which I can observe as a spectator. In this composition my hair takes another form and loses their previous relation with me. They exist independently as part of the composition and they are recognizable but no longer familiar to me.
